Theater Graphic -updated

Post by Den »

Trying to get the hang of doing some graphics editing. Here's a shot of my first try which is a theater mod. There are the yellow chaser lights around the marquee on the front and the roof edge.

The original theater is one of my least favorites, that's why I chose it to test with it.

What do you think? Ver 1.1

I like the basic idea behind it, although the white board on the front doesn't really fit with the rest of the building. Perhaps a bit of shading?

Otherwise, I like it a lot, good work!

I changed the color on the front to match the side. I also added more detail to the top edge.

Here's an archive an exe for windows. Also includes an undo exe and a pcx of the changed sprite if somebody wants to change/make a dos version.

The exe's and archive have been updated changed to fix the blinking pixel on roof. Sorry about that

Also updated archive in this post for ver1.1 with better shading on front of building

You've sold me. It now fits in very well with the rest of the TT buildings, and it is the same style as MB's new buildings too :)).

On the following picture you can see the new theater on the left, and the old cinema on the right.

Yeah..the older one was quite bad in my opinion..especially when there were several in the same area. The new one is noticable as a theater, but blends in a little better.

Needs some more front shading though hmmm

Thanks everybody!

I have been playing around with it in my game, and I can raise many praises for it:

1. There are not as many lights, so it doesn't draw the eye away from the train (What's that flickering thing in the corner?)
2. When there are more than one of them in a city, they fit in well so it doesn't look as obvious
3. It fits in with the general style of the TT buildings, the coplour scheme, shape of windows etc.

The initial upload had a random blinking pixel on the roof, if that's what you mean. I fixed it and reuploaded it yesterday.
