Hi, I've already filled the 256-house quota on Real Houses. I remember reading about being able to increase that number through variations, animations, and so on, but I'm a bit lost.
Is there an example in NML or a post where I can learn more about it?

For NML the change is not in a release yet, so you'll need to use the master branch instead.
You can also make use of the tile-based pseudo-random variations for up to 4 different houses per slot, although if you do this it's best to use a similar building with minor variation instead of something vastly different. (This is used by the default vanilla houses, it's what the animated picker is showing.)
