Hi, I've been playing this since it was put on Steam a few years back. I thought it would have microtransactions or something and was pleasantly surprised. I came here looking to switch to JGR because I love making a digital train set when I play and I have to reinstall after a hard drive failure. It seems a little quiet here, saw a sad topic about an old member and realized the game was made in 2004 (sort of? Based on a 1990s game?) so I don't think I'll post much.

Have you guys considered making a presence on Bluesky?

OpenTTD is an open-source remake of a 1994 video game, Transport Tycoon, and it's 1995 improved version Transport Tycoon Deluxe. The format of forums may have peaked in the 2000s and 2010s, but this forum has been around (and it's predecessors) for over 25 years! I've been here for 21 years, which is insane in itself.

Many of us have families and kids these days, we don't spend all our time online.
