Using OTIS and the TTRS3 Early Mod causes the banks in TTRS3 to only produce and accept Milk. The person who did the coding to create the Early Mod is no longer active. Is there anything that can be done on your end?

Not unless you can come up with a fix that we can put in the code.

I am afraid you should keep trying to contact the makers of TTRS3 (GuilhermeJK was last online on august 18th 2022, so thats not too long ago) to make their house-set compatible with OTIS...
Especially as I am unable to find any source-code of TTRS (Early Mod or Original) and thus cant look at how they coded the bank (and what cargo it should get, we have Valuables, so I dont think the issue is at OTIS side).

Unfortunately, after doing some testing I have found that the original TTRS3 also has this issue. I don't know how much GuilhermeJK actually knows about TTRS3's codebase, but it's entirely possible he only modified the build dates for buildings and has no knowledge on how to fix the issue. I'll try and contact GuilhermeJK, but I feel he will probably not respond and so I have no choice but to cease using TTRS3 or OTIS entirely... unless you can make a change to OTIS that - however much of a hack as it might be - eliminates the issue.

That said, I'm not making a demand; I just hope there's something you can do if GuilhermeJK does not respond or cannot make the changes on his end, because I don't want to have to consider TTRS3 incompatible.

I dont think there is much we can do from our side, except making TTRS (original & mod) incompatible with OTIS, and that is not really something that we want I think

One thing you can test out though, have you set the game settings in such a way that you can fund Industries only?
So no industries at the spawn/start of a game, or during a game? (as is advised for OTIS, see first post for HowTo)
That way I dont think that banks will show up during gameplay and, well, if you dont fund them, then there won't be an issue
As you can use the Shopping Centres from OTIS for transporting Valuables.

To be honest, no idea if that is even possible, as disabling certain stuff could have consequences for other things not working as they should.

If you want that, then you shall have to alter/fork the GRF yourself
I am never ever going to touch an IndustryGRF again, the process has been too straining on my mind.

But, I think you should take a look at this:

This is what inspired OTIS to be made.
It doesnt produce MAIL, but it does do PAX and should be ok with other industry sets.

As Quast65 mentioned to our knowledge it not possible.

The link he gave to the 1 tile industry that accepts and produces PAX.

Making a 1 tile industry similar to that could be made to accept Pax and Mail, but the problem is the Item ID numbers in coding. What ever number I give it, it could replace the industry from another set with that same number.

Maybe some one knows a way around this?

As Quast65 mentioned to our knowledge it not possible.

Doesn't FIRS not do that with its feature of different economies? Yes, those are preselections of related industries and not a free selection of this and not that (see Quast's mention of possible consequences) but it is actually possible to create (fixed pre)-selections (i.e. for a simplified economy).

Another possible issue, is that we already use 3 parameters in the GRF.
AFAIK, you can only put 64 parameters within one GRF, so it isnt possible to micromanagement the GRF by giving all of the cargo's their own parameter.

I think it is a lot easier to make a new GRF, with just a single one-tile industry (with graphics that can easily be covered up) that behaves like Houses.
(so PAX, MAIL, FOOD, WATER).

And I think that Plaza-As-Industry is a better suitable candidate for that...

But there has always been 128 user-configurable GRF parameters.

I've been using OTIS around 6 months, there's complains is lack of additional parameters for selected cargos such as Mail(s) and Passenger(s) due to potentially won't be compatibled with other industry sets mostly FIRS and ECS (if paired, will be cannot use). Also extra options should included to upcoming OTIS version - 'Economies of OTIS' consisting into different scenario: 'Temperate' - , 'Subarctic' - based on North American, Scandinavian and Russian industries, 'Tropics variant' - based on typical West African, S. Asian and S.E. Asian industries (cargos to be: edible oils, rices, cocoas, coffees, tropic woods (exclusive only in Tropics), rubbers (exclusive only in Tropics)), 'Subtropics variant' - based on typical South American, Southern African, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern-North African industries, 'Toyland' - should OTIS including variable toyland industries (cargos to be: candies, toy scraps, ), 'Enhancement of productions (including Gung Ho)', 'New Industries' should be added such as 'Solid Factory' (for producing steels, irons) & 'Food Factory' (for producing food/drink cargos).

Additionally, OTIS should put a translations with other languages/dialects (e.g. Afrikaans, Indonesian, Malay) for needs.

There very few if any industry sets that can be used if each other.
Each industry has a TILES ID and a ITEM ID in the coding if you load. If you load say FIRS and OTIS one could over write the other. For instance "Farm" has Item No 106 and Tile 06. If OTIS is loaded after FIRS the it can conflict with what ever FIRS that has those IDs.

So Quast65 and I will not make changes to OTIS.

I have been in touch with AndytheNorth and he has sent me IDs that he has not used so it is my intentions to make a single tile Industry that will accept and produce Passengers, Mail, Parcel, Food and Goods. I can code it so it can be place in a town, or near a town, or anywhere on map.

Question is what the 1x1 tile should look like so ideas for this appreciated.
