2) There seems to be an even more serious issue with the "Auz Water Objects", because when I update from V15 to V16 the game consistently crashes, so I had to exclude that one

For objects before the year 1900, there was mainly a big change, there is much more, so the ID change is logical.

I did make some changes to that set to make room more objects.

No idea why that playing up on you as I had no problems. I never change the ID numbers. The ID I use is "grfid: "GG\70\07";"

Has any one else had that problem?

Not in my most recent game. I'll have to double check I've used any of the Water Objects but will get back to you when I can.

Well, it's not a new game but a very long-running existing one.

Still, update of all other NewGRFs from the recent addition works even under these conditions (and yes, I know that it is discouraged, at least for the unexperienced player), therefore seems to be somehow related to that particular set.

Auz Water Objects

Previous version Auz Water Objects was version 15 on 21st August 2023.

Players wanted a version number added to the GRF name that is the reason I released AuzWaterObjects16 so it could be uploaded to bananas and players can see easier what version I am up to. AuzWaterObjects is now full so be now more added to it.

That's a big jump from version 8 to 16 and there would have been a lot of changes in 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15.

Is it ok if you could maybe add diagonal (and semi diagonal pieces similar to the road station pieces) for the one lane streets? it would be useful for highway intersections and turning lanes :D

Not real sure what you mean there. But I don't intend to do any new additions for some time.

Things yet to finish:
* AuzBeachObjects .. was experimenting with animated surf and like to finish it.
* AuzFenceObjects .. make all fences slope aware and finish off these types of fences.

Well, one of the things you most certainly did not have on your list - because I just discovered this problem - is with the Auz Stations Catenary Platform Tiles from Auz Stations Part 3 v003.

As shown in the picture attached below, it looks like the "safety line" (to mark the edge of the platform) is on the wrong side for all those station tiles that feature a "catenary pole", because in the top/left track in front of the station building, this "safety line" is missing, while on the bottom/right track, it appears at the back of the platform, away from the track, not on the side facing the track. This applies to all tiles without a roof, while the "roofed" ones strangely have this drawn the correct way.

Seems like the catenary poles and the actual platform drawings are pair-wise exchanged in an incorrect way.

It's a bit difficult to track down at testing, since it only becomes apparent when you have only every 2nd or 3rd tile with the "catenary pole", otherwise looks uniform.

I might have an idea for a newgrf you might be able to make, since i am still learning and would probably not get far doing it:
Maybe a set with some taller offices ( both urban and skyscrapers), tall apartments and bus depots, maybe called 'AuzUrbantownobjects" or something? what do you say? :D

There's tons of town building sets and object sets that already offer these. 1001 Buildings, TTRS, Japan Set Buildings, Korean Buildings, UK Town Set, Fridaemon's Objects, City Objects, just off the top of my head.

If I ever try that idea it be several months away before I get any chance to look at. They would only be objects not an actual town as I not know how to code properly to make town sets. I have made one before but unable to align them with streets properly. So it will stay on the too hard basket for the time being.

My mate Fridaemon is good doing skycrappers and tall building. :D

Isn't it strange I built these years ago and not notice the flying saucer before. :D That my main objective with the objects sets fixing a few things and finishing objects I started before.

These images give you a idea been finishing. They bridges over creeks and people fishing on lakes and creeks. If all goes well hope finish them by the weekend.
