Been delayed releasing the Auz_Lineside_Objects .. a few things to do to it .. I like what Quast65 said when used on the same level see if I can make them appear as if they do slope down to the creek and river bed.

I'll go looking at some culverts and get some ideas.

Cheers

Glad you mentioned that before I release the next Lineside set as I had changed some culverts. I'll change them back and new ones can be extras.

The Bridge. I recoloured the Wooden Fake Bridge and put some stone underneath so the pylons not get undermined when next flood comes through.

Still need to do the other direction.

Think bridge finished .. the Fake river, creek and roads all pass under the wooden fake bridges.
Fake Wooden Bridge2.png
Fake Wooden Bridge2.png (221.4 KiB) Viewed 1496 times
I use NuTracks and the very slow speed track to cross the bridge .. if your using a different rail set I not guarantee the fake rails on the bridge will line up with what your using.

If you have a saved game going .. I advice you make a backup before adding these files as I made some alterations to the Culverts. Hopefully all you might need to do is rebuild a few culverts in your saved game.
Here is the Auz_Lineside_Objects ..
Auz_Lineside_Objects.grf
(2.56 MiB) Downloaded 53 times
had alterations done to some culverts and new ones added.
Also added a Fake wooden bridge that can be made as long as you want with a fake river, fake, creek, fake, gravel road, fake dirt road and a fake dirt track.
Hope later see if can make a bridge to match these that will cross over other roads that vehicles use.

Latest Auz_Roadside_Objects ..
*** Sorry had to remove it due to copyright images. New version a few sections below and on Bananas. ***
Some farm machinery had a Christmas light and also seen one of the Golf Buggy Roads in the Fake Roads section .. that been fixed too.

Hope you like.

Cheers

I will also do the Gravel and Dirt roads too.

So you can enjoy what I uploaded today over the weekend and not upset any saved games .. I will not release any more till next week. By then I might have rest of Fake roads finished. But I hope to play too this weekend as a good way to get more ideas.

Enjoy ... Cheers

So a complete ring around the bridge with slopes going down, pointed towards the bridge.
By the way, by doing that it is not needed to put a special ground tile under the bridge (in this case the rocks).
As that is flat again (but just lower), normal flat ground is ok again. But that is your own choice as the graphics artist ;-)

Doing the fake slope each end of the bridge makes sense and in the triangles .. but not the rest along length of bridge as it suppose to be flat at creek level.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE

SHUTTERSTOCK SUPPORT

Other day I contacted Shutterstock Support to see if I can use some of their images and received a reply saying I can. But been a misunderstanding .. I thought I could use and I though it was for free .. however got a message from them just a short time ago saying have to pay to use.

I will have to remove the Blue Combined Harvester and the other Blue Tractors from my object sets, which means will up set a few saved games.

Being on a disability pension I can not afford to pay the amount required for 5 images.

Sorry fellas.

Can you not alter a pixel or 2 and change the colour , put a amber light on the top . I feel so sad that people copyright an image so much ,when you look at the overall shape there can be small change without affecting the copyright .

Nope, that way you get a visual effect that doesnt work, exactly the same as before with only the bridge giving a fake slope effect with just the pylons.
You must have a complete fake slope down all around. And indeed, that wont work with waterfeatures, as the water can flow down, but cant flow back up again (not without using dams or sluices).
So, this effect can only work with non-water features.

What does work for waterfeatures is a tiny bridge just over the water, like you did with the bridge in the golfcourse (that is visually acceptable and nicely done).
Because the water appears to be one or two pixels lower than groundlevel. That way you can bridge that with pylons just one or two pixels long.
SHUTTERSTOCK SUPPORT
I already was afraid for that, always be very careful with graphics derived from 3D-images found on the web. As those are always most likely copyrighted.
I am seeing these kinds of things happening more and more by so called graphics "artists". The only tip I can give is to always doublecheck with artists providing graphics where they got the source from, before you release it into your work.
Good that you checked that soon, so not too much harm done yet I hope.

I dont think that you understand how copyright works ;-)
I does depend on the type of copyright license, but most of the times alterations are not allowed. For example copying Adidas clothes, but putting the name Abibas on it and using 4 stripes (rather than the famous 3 stripes), will certainly get you sued!! And you will lose!!
People that copyright images (at least those found on the web) do that for a reason, for example because they are professional graphic artists and do this for a job. And they rightly deserve to be payed.

What I doing for now is removing those few images and replacing with other machinery that been used in OpenTTD from CHIPS and Industrial Stations Renewal so that I don't need to remove those codes from Auz_Roadside_Objects and hope not effect to many saved games.

Also changed the grain being harvested by the Blue one and replaced it with the Yellow one for now.

I will need to replace what I put on BaNaNaS this afternoon when I finish patching things.

And also doublecheck with Timeflyer how he made his other vehicles, like the green and blue tracktors. Those also seem to come from 3D images... (maybe the yellow harvester and hay-bales also)

I removed all those except the hay and yellow harvester. To my knowledge only the blue machines and green one are copyrighted.

I just replaced Auz_Roadside_Objects on Bananas. That will upset a few people unfortunately.

I'll have to try my artist skills see if can draw my own machinery.

For those who downloaded Auz_Roadside_Objects from this forum here's the updated version.

It same as what on Bananas.

I deleted what Pics I can of those copyright pics from this forum.

Wonder if the wheat field and some of the other things I done are also copyright. The texture for wheat and corn fields, the wooden bridge and a few others all taken from pics off the internet.

I off to bed .. good night all.
