Hey people!

Let's start a new POTM year. Well do the Jan/Feb together for obvious reasons but I think I'll be able to keep up this competition going on a regular monthly basis... So, POTM January/February 2015...

Theme:
"No vehicles"

How to enter:
Easy - simply upload your image to this topic to enter or link it from a trusted site such as flickr, photobucket, DeviantArt, your personal website etc.
Uploading is preferred as it keeps things together. If you're linking from a URL, having a small 'preview' image and a link to a high-res image would be helpful.
If uploading direct to the wiki:
Let's keep entries in a certain named format for organisation reasons as well as keeping record of them in the entries topic and here. If you prefer to upload to the wiki, please keep it in the same naming format as other entries and inform me they are already on the wiki. Name format is - month|year|POTM_user name.
For example: 1115POTM_DaveW.jpg / 1115POTM_orudge.jpg / 1115POTM_GeoGhost.jpg / 1115POTM_Ameecher.jpg
You get the idea

At the end of the month, this topic will close and a voting topic will be started with all the entries in for people to choose their top one.
All entries will be uploaded to the tt-forums wiki and stored there for voting and also for archive.
Entries close on the last day of the month, voting will be available till the 7th of each month (approximately).
The winner will need to contact me about what they want the next theme to be and then that will be posted in the entry topic for the next month. Then we repeat from there. Simple.

If you wish to change your entry, you may so long as the entries are still open. Simply upload a new one to the topic and remove your old one.
Otherwise, it may get confusing as to which one you are entering. If there are two entries submitted and you have not informed me which one you wish to be used, I will use the first one posted.

So, let's go... "No vehicles" this month...

What does "no vehicles" mean (for us non english speakers)

Where are you from? I could explain you in German and Latin. Or maybe you understand it so: Nothing like a train or a car or similar things should be on the photo.

I'm from south Africa. Here a vehicle = motorcar or a truck (something with wheels except a motorbike that's a bike) according to definitions here planes & trains isn't vehicles.

So if I understand correctly it's about infrastructure? Roads/train tracks/stations/bridges and such

If I've understood doktorhonig correctly... it pretty much means no trains, ships, planes, helicopters, cars, trucks, trams, buses, motorbikes, bicycles, rikshas, submarines, baloons, zeppelins, tanks, howitzers, hovercrafts, APCs, space shuttles, Mars rovers, X-wings, Imperial cruisers...

If it moves and has wheels and has propulsion and it's used for transport... nope.

So, all other things are OK IMO. There's plenty to choose from infrastructure and people and probably something else that I can't think of right now.

Mine

It's The Van Staden's Bridge Taken from the Van Staden's Pass. The bridge is called the "Bridge of Death" here, there has been over 80 suicides over the 40 years that has been open.

Yes, "infrastructure" would have been a better title, you're right. But I really want to restrict this to images without a car, truck, ship or aircraft.
Railroad tracks, roads, canals, landing strips fit perfectly. But be free to interpret this. If it's transport-related, but has no vehicle or similar on it - it's fine. I'm not sure about a skilift, but I guess that could also be ok.

Of course, it is Fog (with a lot of wind, strange combination!) there are some vehicles in the ground but because the heavy fog you cannot see them.

May I be honestly blunt mate but please take no offense. I truly think that your photo doesn't fit the theme, it's not really transport related except those vehicles in the background which directly go again the "no vehicles" theme...

I'm sorry to say it but would you please change your entry? I'd even disregard the resolution rule if you could make one adapted better to this month's theme.
