No, I didn't. I always struggle with repositories. I can't figure out how to display an image in my browser, rather than downloading it as a file. :P
If you select a file, it opens the history window, and on top there is
History | View | Annotate | Download (2.61 KB)
If you then select View, it should display it in your browser.

it's still WIP, and not released anywhere.

I DID use them as templates ;) I mention the work and base of anyone from who I took a working base (and only borrow bases from GPL stuff). I heavily modified those, and as mentioned, I sometimes leave "usual" stuff like roofs or the electric stuff on the roof (don't know the name of the part..)

I detailed already some work in the readme, the 2100 was reworked too, and the lighting is correct, same goes for 2 other engines, i haven't jsut updated the teaser-screenshots in the thread ;) so much for the copyright parts ;)

I actually borrow the bases as I'm unsure of the best length of engines, whether they are 8/8 or 7/8 etc. I sometimes leave windows, as they look identical on many vehicles anyway. Colors change, window placements, axles...

for the rest:
I'm finishing running costs / purchase costs and have to try them out later, so that they can compete with similar engines from other sets (e.g opengfx trains). Would look weird if a similar loco would cost double/half the price of an alternative..

You released the sprites...

It's probably a good idea to mention any credits when posting/showing any work. (Assuming you have permission.) Nobody's gonna download a readme file to check for credits on a few sprites you just posted.

i should edit the post and replace with the newer version ;)
(in my, not released, nml-source, the authors are already mentioned, as well as in the readme)

I'll edit the old post to show that it's based on Yoshi's engine, same for the 628. I'll probably base the Stadler KISS on the DACH Set too, i don't want to reinvent the wheel.

updated some engines, some need some more precision
Image

row 1: CFL800 ------- CFL850/900 ------- CFL1100
row 2: 3liveries of CFL1500 -------- CFL1700 -------- CFL1600
row 3: CFL1800 -------- Siemens ME26 -------- CFL2100 'Dildo'
row 4: CFL3000 -------- CFL2000 -------- CFL2200 Coradia Duplex

CFl1100,1500,1700,2200 (unmodified) are heavily modified versions based on gfx by Purno Dutch Set (gpl v2)
CFl2100 and BR628.4 (not on the pic) based on work by Yoshi (Dach-Set ccbysa3.0)

The Siemens was the first engine I designed using Robert Wheelers Pixel Tool, but I didn't get the perspectives right, I'll rework it completely.
The 2200 (2nd in row4) was designed in about 5mins using the Pixeltool, just needs some corrections. For example the backdoor is larger than the front, the windows differ too in the back-part from the front-part (some improvement can be done to the pixel tool there).
I will rework the Coradia Duplex (2200) too, I just copied the sprite from the 2CC-Set at the moment. I have to rework the wheels in the _view and make it taller. It's higher than the 2000 in real life.

(zoomed in screenshot btw, then made smaller again...some pixelerrors occured, e.g the front lights are not always 1pixel in that screenshot as they should be)

Unless you can contact either artists to obtain permission to license the sprites differently, this is going to be an issue for you when it comes to releasing the work. CC-BY-SA and GPL are completely incompatible IIRC.

we should clarify that copyright and gpl etc. stuff in a sticky post... about every thread comes up with those questions, and the answers are always the same :-/

the sourcecode says for each vehicle, if it's gfx are based on someones work, see the repository so far

added the CFL 200 "Westwaggon", a DMU from 1949. Wanted it 9/8 + 9/8 but caused too much glitches and wasn't able to fix, so here's the 8+8 length

You should include your readme into the banana bundle, otherwise it's useless...

i had all the sources in, but the uploader gave me an error that only "1 type is allowed" ... hm...

I have to reupload anyway, as i disabled default trains, and with it all the default wagons ;)

Edit: version 1.02 has the license and readme with it !

There is a alignment issue:

BR 628 in -> direction.

Nice set!

The CFL 3000 are also used as SNCB Class 13 for IC trains to Maastricht as well, nowadays only for special services though.

@irmotrainfan
yeah it's the same as sncb class 13, even the design is exactly the same, besides the CFL or Belgium SNCB Logo :)

I'll add waggons later. For now, i fix bugs in alignment and gfx.
I already prepared a lot of stats fir steamers, but lack of photos. Took me some time to find a book about steamers in Lux,as it was sold out everywhere.

I'll add older wagons with steamers. I can quickly add passenger wagons, as the luxembourgish ones barely changed in 50 years. I'll then add the belgian ic too (is it the greys with a blue stripe and red doors? I see those with the sncb 13 going past my office ;) )

Sounds good.
These days I mainly see the 13's passing by with I10 and/or I11 coaches: https://www.flickr.com/photos/maartensc ... 5722813866
