I haven't had this problem, the smoke seems to work fine. But then I'm using the extra smoke switch which maybe cleans things up.

Question - Since the Tropic set includes now RVs (well, renamed ones) does it work properly if you have the Long Vehicles installed? Or vice versa?

Long vehicles version 1 was incompatible with tropic set and cargo set.
Long vehicles version 2 is changed to fix it. It can be used safely with tropic and cargo sets.

Hello All,

Is anything happening to the set at the moment? Uzurpator, do you want my locomotive details reposted, or any suggestions for replacements for the original TTD engines?

Nothing that you don't know already:
- painful death of all TTD default railroad locos
- new graphics for all wagons
- probably more maglev locomotives
- curely more unified placement of all vehicles

South African Railways Class 26. Built 1981, power 4660hp, loco weight 120t, tender weight 105t, speed 85mph. This might be a good loco to replace the Turbotrain with.

Would it be possible to add a guard van/brake van to the Tropicset? It would add to the realism. Here's a thread where we are talking about it:

http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?p=115873

I suppose the British brake van would be along the right lines. Or, here's a British-built African one:
