crash in selfmade scenarios

if i click on a sepot n my selfmade scenario the game crash. :cry:

whats your TTDPatch.cfg? whats the circumstances of the crash? and any features or expiriments you tried?

original ttdpacth.cfg
ttdpatch final -> newest alpha same problem
ttd win
any scenario, e.g. only water with a small hill to build the depot.
whats wrong? i have to make a scenario for a contest. :cry:

If you don't build a town, the depot can't take its name from it (like "New Brafingbridge Train Depot"). So it will instead use the first item in the string table which is "Cannot remove obstacles on land". The string "Cannot remove obstacles on land Train Depot" exceeds the character limit for names, so when TTD tries to display the name, it crashes with a GPF.

So make sure you create a town before doing anything. :wink:

I didn't know reaching the character limit crashes the game

I've had 'Cannot remove objects on land train depot' and it doesn't crash.
It's when it has zksdfh train depot (In flashing colours) that it crashes...
