I like that idea about the brick pump house. There are some nice buildings hidden away in FIRS, ISR, CHIPS and DWE that could be used with a little alteration. See if can add a few pipes running from the building to the waters edge and maybe add a water column to fill trucks or trains.

If Quast65 don't mind me getting a few truck loads of sand from his beach objects see if I can put a little sand on some of the shore lines of the lake.

Shall see what I can come up with.

I noticed the set of Lakes I did today will allow you to add the object Creeks and Rivers to the SW and SE edges of them as if the lakes are connected to the rivers or creeks. But will not allow connection NW and NE edges.

First attempt at placing sand on shore of Lake Kookamonga.

Unfortunately the water pump house and pipes that come with DWE are a bit large. Lake will dry up pretty quick so will see what smaller pipes I can find.

Looking good ,The pipes are a bit large .Been playing around with some old games and came across this .Opengfx Mars Industries Plus candy.

I used some pipes from ISA newwater2 and altered a building from FIRS. Hoping by using these pipes they will match anyone building a ISA Water Station there.

Regarding the beach, the normal flat beach might be just a tad too bright. As you are using a lot of browns rather than green grass on the rest of the land, maybe a shaded texture of the beach sand works better (just place this multiple times next to each other and cut out the shape you need):

Here's 2 lakes with sandy shore line.

Made the sand a bit darker and used the pipes that Quast65 sent me. Just hope it not drain the lake or the pump get clogged up with fish.

The rocks near the water pipes to sink the boats before they hit the pipes.

That was some kid dragging a bit of sand with it after playing t the beach ...

I quite like those, too. The dirt looks a bit...dirty, maybe. More like this sort if thing:

Thinking about this as it not a good a bus load of passengers going there and has to return empty.

So need to produce Passengers too ..

Maybe I could re-introduce the Lake and Water Tower, but replace the Water Tower with the Pump House.

Shall think about it for a while today and see if can think of a good way about it.

Ditch the fish. Such a lake isn't going to be a significant source of food for OpenTTD purposes.

Perhaps it would be better to develop a hydroponic/fish farm, which produces fish and vegetables?

That might be a good idea .. have to look in to it. Wouldn't need to be on water .. Maybe make a farm and add several fish ponds using walls like they have in the canals. :?: :idea: :?:

I will go searching for some pics to get ideas.

Thing's starting to get a bit fishy around here.

How this fella's for kamnets idea .. a Fish Farm .. all I need is to grow some spuds (potatoes) now and we will have Fish and Chips.

It could probably accept supplies (fish food).

Whether to leave it a stand alone industry or make it part of a Farm and grow vegetables too.
