Ahh well, when I can understand some posts I'll try to answer them. But I guess you'll have to change your signature, you're not the only one from Java anymore ;-)
No, he isn't from Java, he is from somewhere else, as he show in his previous place
And I don't meant java island, i mean java people. :]

I think what he means is that people will appear on beaches in different amounts, like in MB's stations.

As for the tiles: amazing work! Keep it up!

No offense off course, I'm just jealous that the only way I can look at beautiful beaches all year round is by drawing them and not having the possibility to go to them myself ;-)

I see, well that is possible with animation. I already did that with umbrellas, can also work with people.
And thanks for the thumbs up!

EDIT: I was not happy with the basic tiles, redrew them, looks like this now:

A quick little mock-up. How is this for people on the beach? Tips/suggestions/commentary is very welcome!

Oh well, peoples are drawn nicely sized, quite right if compared to house or bus (or even trains in some cases :) Not planes, unluckily :( )

It would be cool to have it like a station or something like that. If people amount changes then the peach also change, something like loading stages, its not possible with new object afaik?

Thnx, yes I plan to have these tiles animated, that will give some better variations

That is indeed not possible with objects, also it is not possible to have object animations triggered by a nearby station/busstop. So I'm afraid we'll have to work with a random animation.

True, with several animationsteps it will look better (I hope), this was just a quick mockup. Wanted to know if the drawings of people looked ok.

Thnx all for your reply's!

Well, I was curious about that too. So I asked him about that a while ago.
He uses some very clever coding to mimic a seasonal animation. So not "normal" animation. The way he coded it is way above my head, so I guess we'll have to go for an all year round animation ;-)

You could offer both an object version and a station tile version of the beaches (I know I'd appreciate this!). Then you could use waiting cargo to determine number of people. I even offer to help with the extra copy/paste work this would require :D.

All help is off course appreciated!
And when this is finished I'll make it GPLv2 so all sprites can be used if someone wants to make stationtiles of them.
Although there is one thing I'm worried about and that is the behaviour of stationtiles on slopes... I'm not sure that you can even make stationtiles that are sloped?

You can. But only in parallel to the slope (even if w/o rail, i.e. non-track tiles).

OTOH, it´s not really useful to mix object and station tiles, in general.

I see that the people are standing on the beach. Some of them should lie down tanning.

And what would be a beach without swimmers?

And just think of what the beach would look like with swimmers being chopped up by all the ships that will be passing by on the shores!

I don't think ships can navigate tiles occupied by objects.

I tried that. It is very difficult to get that drawn right, especially with slopes. I did however get some towels/sunbeds right I think, see pic below.
And what would be a beach without swimmers?
I think I will add some watertiles with swimmers in them eventually.
And just think of what the beach would look like with swimmers being chopped up by all the ships that will be passing by on the shores!

Indeed, ships will not enter the tiles where objects are located.
Oh, and sharks. Must have sharks.
lol :D Looks like that a new disaster has to be made, great white attacks ;-)

How is this for a busy beach?

Compared to the dutch beaches those few days it is sunny weather here, it is empty, but for OpenTTD I think it looks fine.
