If development of OpenTTD suddenly seems to hold, all devs are playing this

and playable for mortals? :D Binary was easy to find but OpenTTD couldn't find a server and in the 5 minutes of trying, I didn't succeed in finding options or whatever to try it for myself. On the coop site there's no mention of a NoGo server either.

EDIT: I had binaries from the 16th instead of the 17th... stupid me :S

I've set up 2 servers to display NoGo to the general public

One runs a small arctic map, one runs a bigger tropical map.

Both maps require the Dutch Tram Set NewGRF and the Swedish Rail NewGRF... they can be found on the content server.

binaries can be found: http://master.binaries.openttd.org/cust ... index.html

read the first 5 posts, and look at the screenshots carefully ;)

and yes, so far I've seen 7 or 8 different devs float around on the test server.. if releases get delayed, I know what to blame :P

That leaves us with 6 or 5 left ... for now at least.

/me thinks this guessing game going on here is almost just as fun as digging in the code for this thingy.

The screenshots clearly show town growth / deliver to town stuff that does not exist in my OpenTTD. It is the ONLY thing I see different about the screenshots, nothing else. Saying that the "X/Y Passengers/Mail/Cargo delivered" and "Town Growth every Z days" thing ISN'T what this thread is about makes no bloody sense.

Does a photo collection about kitchen tools show knives for cutting vegies? Maybe, but certainly not only ;-)

Hint #2: check the commit messages of the NoGo mercurial repository.

Is this going into trunk?

If yes, then what is it?
If no, then why the secrecy?

Ditto, I have no idea what this is about, either. I don't even know what I'm supposed to look for.

I can't believe it. Are you making OTTD scriptable? Because then tutorials, system of goals/scenario objectives and all sort of things like configurable GUI for newbies or advanced players will be possible!!!

I'm not sure if that's what you are doing, but I hope so. It will be one of the greatest improvements of OTTD.

I can't wait to see it work! Many thanks to all the devs.

This is nice idea to have some scripted goals in OpenTTD or to have some advanced town growth :) But i have some questions:
  • Is this avalable in single player mode?
  • What about http://wiki.openttd.org/Frosch/Town_Control? Its look like this is different approaches to same features. So will it be competitive to Town Control through NewGRF (for examle as cargodist, cargodest, yacd to cargo distribution)?
PS. Sorry for my english
