Realistic accel on mountains (Alpha 35)

Post by Snail »

Hi all!

I've been playing TTD for years now and updated to Alpha 35 just today.
I've noted a difference (bug?) in this new alpha version: loading my savegames, my trains don't seem to follow the realistic acceleration rule when climibing mountains.

In my ttdpatch.cfg, the "mountains" switch has always been set to 3333: the realistic acceleration worked well with the old alpha version, but it seems not to with the current one. What happens, is that the trains won't slow down at all when going uphill.

I've tried to change the switch value, and all of the other behaviors seem to work fine (0000 to 2222). In fact, the 3333 value gives exactly the same results as the 2222.

Hope someone can help me!

There's a bug in a35 which causes trains to slow down when going downhill and speed up when going uphill.
