Steve's Locomotion Depot

Post by Steve »

Behold, it is finally completed! (Well, not fully, needs content)

My Locomotion site can be found here:

http://loco.phoenixscripts.co.uk/

I've had the guys in #Tycoon trying to break it, but could always use some more testing. There is a slight difference in style between IE and Firefox. I recommend using Firefox though. (It is better anyway)

I will be adding some content before the release and fixing up the last of the scripts. I already have most of them, but they are hidden behind the scenes. I will finish the content on the features section with the info from my other thread.

Now, as soon as Locomotion comes out, i'll have no free time, as i'll need to be putting loads of content up! So to help me out, be ready to submit any screenshots and such. (General shots, not story things from your games)

Although originally i was going to link to my own forums. Owen came back in time, so i should be able to set up anything i need here. So it shall stay local for the forseeable future!

Hope you like it!

Right, i am looking for some graphical people to help make the site look better. I don't want to change the layout much, so it's basically just a CSS tweak, to make it look better. It may also need extra images to decorate it, but don't make it too cluttered.

I also need someone to make a new logo. That one is a rip-off of the Atari logo, so if i want to have a serious site, i'll have to have something original.

Anyone can try out, the more designs we have to choose from, the better it'll be. But the colouring needs to match. I was originally trying to use colours from Loco itself, but this wasn't too successful, as i would need menu shots. The blues you see now all came from that logo.

You can sumbit anything here, or if it's too big, e-mail me (steveb [at] phoenixscripts.co.uk) If you submit a logo, you will either need to be active, or sumbit the actual photoshop file so i can alter the wording and such.

Hope you guys can help!

The screens are from Gamespot. I don't really think i should be putting them up. The same goes for the movies. I'll just make my own when the game comes out.

and on the toolbar, is that build stations or airports? (looks like a control tower...)

Well, it will probaly include ports and airports on a different tab, making the icon change between airport tower and port thing. It may include other stuff too, who knows?

I have uploaded the new Locomotion trailer to the website! It shows all the different types of transport we can expect in Locomotion. The graphics on the landing plane are especially interesting.
You can find it in the Overview section!

I have added 2 new sections to the site.
The first is content on the Vehicles page, I have gone through all the screenshots and taken pictures of all the vehicles and collated them together. This is a temporary solution, before i get my hands on the real game. When the game is released, you can expect a full description of each vehicle with it's statistics and a picture.
The second change is the addition of a contacts page. You can use the form to mail me directly and other contact details are listed as well.
If you have any questions, suggestions or comments, do not hesitate to contact me.

Looking good steve. You could even perhaps put some content on the industries page using the info in the screenshots on gamespot.
