multiplayer game , problem. network error

Post by Hovda »

:?:
Hi , i got a problem when starting multiplayer game. i find the host and the game that he has created. but the problem accours when i "launch the game". then it stop. on both computers. the strange thing here is that it worked few days ago. and ive tried to download once more. but it wont work. sounds familiar?
when i innstalled the game once more , i just deleted the map that contained the game. so i may have to uninstall it properly, how to do that? to completely remove all files on the computer connected to TTD?

Someone who wnat to help?

Thanks!!

What did you change? Unchange it. Specifically, find old ttdpatch alphas here. Oh, and Image

Not in the slightest. I never play multiplayer. You'll have to elucidate.

@admins: Can we get Image (or some variation on it) mapped to :RTFM: ?
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

What did you change? We can't help you without that information. Have you checked the wiki?
Have been better? It's more polite, sure, but ...

And look at that first :RTFM: graphic again. And maybe another time too. Specifically, until you figure out why it's different than the second one.

One's on hte left-hand side of the screen, and the other's on the right? ;)

Good one. :D Didn't see that coming. But no, it has nothing to do with position.

One's holding up a book and saying "RTFM!", and the other one's ... no, that's not it either ;)

If it's what I think it is, you'd have to look up the URL every time, or supply a generic link to the index. I know it's possible to do things like [rtfm multiplayer], however that would involve some serious modifications.
Bugzilla available for use - PM for details.

Come on folks! Click on them!
It's not supposed to be that hard.
If I'm holding up a book and telling you to read it, I'm going to give it to you when I'm done beating you over the head with it. I'll probably even tell you what chapter to look in.

I just wanted :RTFM: to put the picture in. The link is the author's job to provide, and I provide it every time.
