Truck and Bus stations too spread out?

Post by RangaKoo »

First off, I believe I have v2.0 rev 1.

It seems that when I try to add a truck or bus station to an existing station complex, the game decides it is too spread out.

I first came across this when trying to add a truck stop to a 2x3 station. I thought it was weird, but let it got as there was another large station/airport only a few squares away.

However, as you can see from this image something appears to be very amiss when I can't even place a truck station next to an existing bus station.

Any suggestions on what's going on and how it can be fixed?

In ttdpatch.cfg, make sure line "spread 20" is there or change any line starting with "spread" to that if one is already there.
It sounds like you might have "spread 2" or something.

Hmmm, well there wasn't a 'spread' line in my .cfg, but I've added it now and have managed to build that truck stop - thanks!

However, if there wasn't any change to the spread 'tag' why'd that happen?

it may be a bug in TTDPatch ... tell us also if you are using command line parameters for TTDPatch or only CFG files ?
what are you looking at? it's a signature!

Just the .cfg, which I've attached here.

*Remembering that the 'spaced' parameter wasn't there before.

Code: Select all

spread=1
That's the problem in your ttdpatch.cfg, this sets the maximum size of a station to one tile. The "spread 20" you added later overrides this though, so you're safe...

Don't worry, I'm just glad it's not a bug in the patch* :mrgreen:

* Because that would mean work, fixing it.
