Pikka's TaI industries unstable Arctic farms

I've just started using this grf in my games but when playing in the Arctic climate the farms frequently get insect infestations and close very quickly.

In some cases I fund a farm myself only to find it overrun with insect infestations and close within a month or two of it being built.

Is this a feature of the grf or is something interfering with it?

Letting the game run for another couple of years, a farm now appears above the snowline.

Surely that isn't meant to happen?

With all those insect infestations, they didn´t see any other way.

TaI doesn't alter the farms at all, as far as I remember.
