WIP 2-8-8-8-2 Triplex help
Hey guys im trying to convert a triplex form a microsoft tran sim found here [urlhttp://www.paulztrainz.myenet.info/inside/N_Erie_Triplex.htm][/url]. Ive been donloading yalls mods forever, but the only real modding i ever did was for Railroads! by sid meyers and interstate 82'. Ive heard about putting trains from train sim in loco, but im not so shure on how its done, like what programs would you need etc... I know the clipping will probobly be horrible with the lignth of this monster but i want to try it. Any help would be apreciated

1. Have you the permission from the Autor?
2. This is a model for Trainz. Not for MSTS
3. If you still have the MSTS model and you should have the permission of the author ..... then go look at my signature. There you will find everything you need. However, the model is quite long. There should be no longer than 18 meters.
Good luck

Re: WIP 2-8-8-8-2 Triplex help
waiting on a return e mail for premision, looked at your tutorial shouldent be to much trouble thanks. if all elts fails i go back to my skethup model
Re: WIP 2-8-8-8-2 Triplex help
I don't think that is physically possible with Locomotion's game restrictions, even if you managed to code such a thing, it would just clip beyond recognition. If you feel that it absolutely needs to made, by all means have a go, but if I were you I would do a little research.
Re: WIP 2-8-8-8-2 Triplex help
The way I see it it should be about the size of the big boy i got from AMI, as the rearmost drivers are part of the tender so the clipping shouldent be completly horrible though it will be present. I realy just like the idea of 3 sets of drivers in non fictional steam loco, combined with 176256 lbs of tractive effort and the fact that no one eltse will take a stab at it gives me enough ensentive to have a go at it myself.

I know all about trainz, but you got troubles, the main model is another shape and the bogey is another too
the only posible solution is the author giving you the 3d model ( probably he give not ) so , merge the bogey and locate on the main model
PD: the new shape viewer can see .im and .pm ( shape file extension on trainz ) but can damage you msts2locomotion program

Re: WIP 2-8-8-8-2 Triplex help
it could be coded as the tender would just have a different type of wheels to look like frivers, and the rest would be similar to the challenger or big boy
May the force be with you.
