Game feedback

Post by psy010 »

Hello,

I apologize if my first post is not in the correct section.

This savegame is the most recent one since I started making my infrastructure using the info on the OTTD Wiki.

I used to play Transport Tycoon Deluxe on an old Pentium machine (my first computer) and the feeling of toy trains stuck with me since then :)

Now I play OTTD which I found to be a better replacement from the original game, also because the newgrf allows for a high degree of customization and also because playing the original TTD is now impossible on the new Windows OS.

My post is about any feedback I can get about my game, if the concepts were implemented correctly and maybe an explanation as to why none of the cities exceeded 35k population.

Cheers !

Well, one problem I can see is that you have several very tight corners with the vacuum tube trains. This absolutely kills their primary purpose: speed baby speed! This page may be of more assistance: http://wiki.openttd.org/Game_mechanics#Trains

Edit: Well, also you are using the original, rather than realistic, acceleration model, which also totally kills the vac tube trains' speeds.
