Hi all,
I'm new to OpenTTD (new to TTD in general), I just installed OpenTTD 1.0 with the Kubuntu package manager (so I can't try 1.1) and I'm kind of stuck. I don't know if this is a bug or something I'm doing wrong, however, I've done some searching and couldn't find the solution.
I've started a new game with a very high sea level, so quite a lot of industries are in range of a harbour. However, when I buy a cargo ship and set it up to shuttle between woods and a sawmill (I'm using the Dutch version, so probably it has got another name) or between a farm and a factory, no wood or livestock is offered at the harbour. The harbour clearly is in range, as it said that it can deliver wood or livestock when I built the harbour. So, what am I doing wrong?
No wood from harbor?

Not providing a screenshot or save game.ktf wrote:So, what am I doing wrong?

Also, possibly, not refitting the ship to the appropriate cargo.

Hey.
Just guessing here but without any further information one possible simple solution could be that your ship has not been refitted to carry wood/livestock. If this is the case, combined with the Deliver Cargo to a station only when there is a demand marked as on could cause no Wood or livestock to be sent to the station though.
Perhaps a screen shot could be handy though if this is not the case

Indeed, I wasn't aware of the possibility of/need for refitting.PikkaBird wrote:Also, possibly, not refitting the ship to the appropriate cargo.

For all vehicles, there a button (bottom right I think) that allows you to see what cargo that vehicle is set to carry.
Many a time I've bought a new vehicle and forgot to change the cargo setting, so it's sitting in the station waiting for coal and I'm expecting it to carry grain...
