Windows XP Professional
I thought I was quite good with computers, but I simply cannot get TT to run on XP Professional. I can't even load it. Any help would be very much appreciated!

You can get the patch from the patch website (http://www.ttdpatch.net), and windows TTD, while not downloadable here (legal reasons), it should be avaliable from the download topic (see the "General Transport Tycoon" Forum).
Good luck
.
P.S. I also play TT under windows XP and understand your pain

I managed to get the windows TTD running in XP using the patch, with most of the defaults selected in the configuarator, but none of the graphics loading.
In adjusting some settings (I can't remember which unforutunately) to try and get them to work I have now stopped it from working alltogether.
I get the window giving me the option to dislpay the switches in use, and I press Enter to play, and then it flashes up somethign way way way to fast to read and then exits. It also quits the configurator when I try to run it through that.
Any ideas?
Chris

Hmm, I can't say which one is causing trouble exactly, but my guess would be newgrf/doubledw.grf. Try taking that one out, I don't know if it's been make compatible with patch 2.0.
Also, you only need to have one version of the tempset, either tempsetw with vehicles in original ivery or tempsetpw for vehicles with player colours. So remove whichever of those two you don't want.
