how to add TAR archives ?

Discuss, get help with, or post new graphics for TTDPatch and OpenTTD, using the NewGRF system, here. Graphics for plain TTD also acceptable here.

how to add TAR archives ?

i am new in the forum and a great fan of openttd.
i have used the extrazooms v9 files but i would add other tar files
like church_z.tar by example. i have actived blitter in
openttd.cfg and added the name of the tar under targfx but
it doesn't recognize it.someone can explain me the way?

Are you using the extra zoom levels patch as well? You won't see anything if you're just using a nightly build or something.

At the moment I think the latest version is for r13706 (before PBS I'm afraid!) and there are no binaries available I'm afraid, so you'll have to apply and build it yourself.

Just a thought here.
Could it be that you've forgotten to enable the 32bpp blitter?

I guess you've downloaded the church_z.tar from a certain Russian site, from a former forum member (Sergej_S)?

I that case the tar file is not compatible with the tar format currently used in trunk, ( or the extra zoom patch). It does have an nfo file in the tar, you will have to pngcodec the x and y offset mentioned in that nfo file into the png files.

Hope it is not the original toyland church that I recolored for 32bpp (without permission), that he coded for temperate :evil:
