Problem, Can't make transport!!

As the title suggests, I can not drag roads, rail or put in depots, stations, tunnels, bridges and son on. Also I can't place Airports or build a HQ. I can't place trees or make landscaping changes. I can change the managers name, colour etc...

I don't know if I can build trains or if the game can make opponents. Can anyone help me???

How do I get music??

No idea about the music, I turned it off back in 1996 and never turned it back on Someone else will know tough.

To be able to build in pause mode, hit CRTL+Alt+C (ctrl+alt+win+c if you have ATI gfx card) to get to cheat menu and turn on the build when paused cheat

How can I own and buldoze roads that are owned by the local authority?? I have an outstanding rating and I can bulldoze houses but not the roads. Do you know why??

How do I get music??

- Open the "Jazz Jukebox" in game and make sure it's playing.
- Check that you have a midi synthesizer. On windows xp, go to your control panel and then: sound and audio devices -> defaults tab. On the midi section you should at least see the "Microsoft SW synth".
- Put the dxmci.dll in your TTD directory

Yes, if you wanne bulldoze roads you have to start at the end, you cannot bulldoze a piece right in the middle... unless again you use the cheatmenu and activate magic bulldoze (or whatever it is called in english or other languages). Just remember to turn it back off after you're done, because I seem to remember reading that if that is turned on, cities can bulldoze factories and stuff...

There is also a setting in the patchmenu wich will allow you to destroy stuff that is normally undestroyable. Construction -> allow bulldozing industry, more roads etc (again, not sure how it is typed in english, I run with norwegian language and I'm to lazy to swap to english for checking).

One last thing, anybody able to tell me when electrified rail, monorail, maglev and metropoli airports are available. In what year. Or if there's a guide can someone give me the link??.

Dont take this to be 100%, but I think... 1980 for electric, 2000 for monorail, 2020 or 2025 for maglev... No idea about the airports, dont use those

OK, call me paranoid but I'm getting a little worried. It's 1983 and electrified rail has not appeared yet. I remember playing this game ears ago and I'm sure it didn't take this long for electric rail to appear. FYI I'm running OTTD on Vista and I copied the relevent files from the original TTD ino OTTD as specified. So if anyone is kind enough to hel me out that'll be cool. By the way I check the manual and it didn't say anything about the dates when new rail comes a long

Edit: it's now 1989 with no electric and on the patch I clicked allow electric rail

With the music: TTD directory contains folders \aw \gm. Files in those are midi files optimalized for SoundBlaster AWE or General MIDI respectively. Just change .aw extension to .mid and play with MediaPlayer any time you want. (Or make extension .aw MIDI audio filetype)
