Local Authority problem

Post by Highspeedvehicle »

Hi there,

i've been playing TTD for many years and decided to download the Open TTD.
Everything works fine, except i cannot click with my mouse on a city's name.
This means i cannot open the local authority window and cannot bribe or anything....planting a lot of trees is quite boring, so i hope someone can help me. If you have any suggestions to the problem, please let me know. Also if there's a shortkey for this window it would be most helpful.

Thnx

How can't you click on the name? Because I always can...
One possibility is that you haven't got (or have got) set the city names selected in the transparency options..Although then you shouldn't see the city names at all...

I know I have a BBCode error in my signature but I really cba to fix it.

So clicking on everything else works? How odd... Please could you add a savegame as an attachment so we can have a look? Also, does this happen in every new game, or only some of them, or only with particular savegames?

I just tried it using the lastest nightlies and could click everything fine.
Wouldn't load on 0.5.3 though.

I think i've solved the problem:
when i zoom out, it is possible to click on the citynames. Well at least i can expand the cities a bit this way!
Thnx for all the help, although its still a strange bug.

PS: im running the latest version on a mac os X 10.3.9

I can think of at least 3 "latest" versions: The current trunk revision, the current nightly build, 0.5.3, 0.6.0. Which one are you using?

:D
...and when was even 0.5.2 released?? in spring? even earlier??

Kinda funny seeing net even 0.5.1 but a RC for it to be thought as latest :D Oh my,oh my..I just got a good portion of laugh :D
Though these kind of things happen sometimes :D So don't you even think of taking any offence from this :D
and yes, there are atleast three latest (not to count ChrisIn and others) 0.5.3, 0.6.0-beta1 and latest nightly..
