Re: Danny's Fotopic Train Photos!
The classic Ipswich shots and London Bridge, very nice photos, I wish I had the time and could be bothered to get out and do some more railway photography, trouble is it takes so flipping long to get anywhere from this back water, even london is 2 hours away...

London is almost two hours away for me as wellAmeecher wrote:The classic Ipswich shots and London Bridge, very nice photos, I wish I had the time and could be bothered to get out and do some more railway photography, trouble is it takes so flipping long to get anywhere from this back water, even london is 2 hours away...

Re: Danny's Fotopic Train Photos!
Well I say 2 hours, it's actually nearly 3 since I've got to get into Norwich first
All the interesting stuff is quite a long way off. Ipswich is the nearest place of interest because Norwich lacks on activity, the twice hourly 90s with Mk3s and the hourly 158s to the midlands with the constant stream of 170s and 153/156s on branch lines it gets repetitive. Cambridge is also good but that takes a while to get to too, although both Ipswich and Cambridge are cheap to get to.

Re: Danny's Fotopic Train Photos!
There's some nice stuff there Danny, a good variety of locations and classes too. The south-east seems along way away now I've moved. No more predictable EMUs every 5 mins, I get local services (321, 142, 144, 153, 158), cross-country (voyagers, 185, 158), intercities (HSTs of various shades, 91s, whatever Hull Trains runs these days!) and freight (lots of it too!). Such a difference form commuter-land, I've never had such variety on my doorstep! Just need to buy a camera now to prove it!!
Keep it coming Danny

What? when? Gotta be before Dave clears off to Preston, that's way up that way ^ somewhere. It's dark half the year and light the other half. Funny place that. He'll never get out.andel wrote:Gav, you, Natasha and I need to do a day trip into London - mebbe with Dave in Tow?
oh and it's Gavin by the way, not Gav

Damn, just realised that you are gonna call me that the whole time now. Oh well.

Didn't know Arriva still had a working Class 121!
That means there is two of them left in passenger service!
Cool to see the French ones to. I've done loads of driving in Mainland Europe, but still not been on a single train!
