You may want to try and rephrase that in proper English. If i'm correct, what you are saying is that when you host a multiplayer LAN game, and someone has joined it already, how can you add one or more computer AI players?

Answer to that is.... you can't. Well, you can if you configure openttd.cfg to allow AI in multiplayer, but I do not believe you can in a game that is already running.
Guess what! I got a fever! And the only prescription...... is MORE COWBELL!

You simply have to edit openttd.cfg in Notepad - not that hard, I guess.

hi,

sorry for disturbing again... i searched the forum but i didn´t find something...

i found the openttd.cfg, the parameter in my file ai_in_multiplayer is set to true

i can host multiplayer games (lan), my friend can also connect,
but no ai is connecting, even after some years playing.

max clients and max companies are set to max. values (11 and 8 i think)

is there an additional parameter for that feature?

thanks in advance!

and thanks for this nice game :-)

kind regards,

YOU may want to live with the fact that this is a multi-cultural forum, and therefore not everybody will be a native english speaker. a bit more friendlines towards those who's first language is not english so they may feel welcome here and also comfortable enough to post their questions!
if you have trouble understanding them correctly there are also nicer ways of expressing that, which does not make them feel like complete dorks.

Is there an actual answer as to why there is no computer player in multiplayer games?

The AIs cheat like hell and we don't want other players to misuse that, aren't written to work are network entities and they aren't saving all their state and are thus more likely to cause desyncs.
