Wood in Tropical

Post by Beux »

Hi

I have been playing the tropical level for the first time. The 'goods' making factories need copper ore, wood and rubber - but there are no wood industries at all. There weren't in the scenario creator either.

Am I missing something?

Do I actually need wood? If I provide the factory with rubber and and copper will it still produce goods without wood?

I'm confused!

Find a Lumber Mill in the forested parts of the maps. Be aware though that the Lumber Mill gets wood from the surrounding trees so will clear areas of rainforest and you WILL need to replace these trees to make money after a while because the mill will stop producing wood.

Have fun!

Well when you fund a new industry you need to select a Lumber Mill. That is what the industry is called.

Just fund (build) a lumber mill somewhere in a rain forest. More info on the wiki.

Edit: Hey, Ameecher was faster ;)

Ha! I didn't know you could fund it - checked earlier and it wasn't there...but it's popped up now.

Thank you!
