trains avoiding stations

Post by JmJ »

Hello,

i installed OpenTTD 0.5.1 and saw strange thing. All trains try to avoid stations. If train can choose one path throught station (not stop in this station) and another path, which is really longer than path through station, it choose the longer path. How to change this behavior back to "normal"?

I think, it's problem of configuration (i hope ;-) ), but i didn't find which parametr must be changed.

This is normal behaviour of YAPF, you can lower one of the station penalties under [YAPF] to stop this from happening.
Don't panic - My YouTube channel - Follow me on twitter (@XeryusTC) - Play Tribes: Ascend - Tired of Dropbox? Try SpiderOak (use this link and we both get 1GB extra space)

if you use YAPF, try 'rail_station_penalty' in the section [yapf] in .cfg file (for new games) or change it via console for existing game

it does this so it doesn't take the chance of having to wait if all platforms of said station are being used for loading/unloading
