Look it up on the search page and you will find a lot of topics concerning this matter. It's not in one of the official releases. There is a patch somewhere I tought but you will have to compile it yourself.

Er... The world doesn't revolve around OTTD.

TTDP offers trams in the latest nightly. No compiling required.

can i just also ask, when we download .grf files, do we just dump the file itself in the MPS folder? cause thats what i do.

and also i use OpenTTD to play, so if i dump any .grf or modification files in the folder MPS, does OpenTTD show the modification in the game?

cause ive found (i think) the tram thingy and have put it in MPS and i havn't seen it in the game

With OTTD 0.5.0 and newer, you should put newgrf files in the data subdirectory, and that is all you need to do.

Trams don't work with OpenTTD, unless you apply the patch to the correct revision, which also implies compiling OTTD yourself. If you want to play with trams you should go use TTDP or LoMo, or just wait until the devs put trams into OTTD.
