[TTDP] Wozza's DBXL Screenies

Post by wozza »

Recently I created a scenario for myself using the DB set, and decided I'd have a go at posting some screenshots of its progress.

Please do let me know what you think

Nice shots :)

Next time, try posting in .png format.

Use Irfanview or The GIMP to convert. Or even Paint, actually.

Consider moving the station to just outside the cathedral - you'll be closer to the centre of the town, and as such the town will grow around the station, much like in real life. Currently, it looks a little strange stuck to the corner of the town.

Thanks for the comments people.

With a bit of luck the empty scenario will be attached, as is another random screenshot of one of the numerous junctions I've experimented with recently.

Well I must say Warren, those bridges are needlessly long. In real life bridge lengths would be kept to a minimum to reduce cost.

I thought as much, i'm just seeking the optimum way of creating such a junction and i'm evidently quite a way off with that one.

You could raise the land a bit at the SE end of the west bridge, and do the same to the other bridge. Then you can lay a direct W-E track with which you could avoid both the nasty 90 degree turn and long bridges. ;)

Taking into account common sense and advice I as good as rebuilt my mainline [well the only line for that matter] in the mid 20s and since then the company has made leaps and bounds. I'm currently in 1940-ish and here are some screenies of recent progress.
