I think that in the land editor their should be the ability to place buildings where you like. E.g build housing estates and massive cities.
Also i like the idea of underground. (In my recent game i have constructed a monorail which runs practically underground but it would be nice if it was much easier to place stations right in the middle of cities)
More realism in vehicles. (more choice of multiple unit trains, maybe ones based on the Turbostar) Also civilian traffic on the roads. Havre ferries of different sizes and can carry civilian cars. The ability to have roads going of the edge of the map island to other places (like in SimCity 3000) where you can send holiday coaches off to another place which would not actually exist on TT map. You could have more realitsic looking trains (not ones with just 4 windows) and double decker coaches & Buses.
