How do you position a new refinery?

Post by tdunn7 »

I need to fund a new refinery, but I can't seem to find an acceptable site for it. Anyone got any tips?

My default, the oil refinery must be within 16 tiles of the edge of the world.

Problem solved -- thanks

Don't know what the initial cause was, but when I went back and tried again, I was able to place a refinery where I'd been unable to before.

Maybe refinery placement is a bit flaky.

Thanks to everyone for the advice.

Think you can edit this value as well in the 'configure patches' options. :-)

Yes, you can. That's partly why I said "My default." The other part was a typo - it was meant to be "By default."
