Hi, i'm a long time fan of Transport Tycoon, I first played it in the DOS version about 9 years ago and since then have been playing on and off. I came across this site a little while ago and fell in love with OTTD. Great job to all of you who made this possible!
My question is this: When I first started to play TT the names of the trains and road vehicles were different, the first train was called Jinty and the planes were named after their real life counter parts such as the Concorde plane or the Lockeheed series. But now the names are all different, I've tried to look on the forums but for the life of me I can't find any info on how to change the names. I've tried to create custom names in the game but it never saves them, when I try to click the "save" button it just won't click. The only thing I found here was the "Planeset" graphics patch but it doesn't work with OTTD. Can someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.

Old train/car/plane/ship names?

planeset does work with openttd, for trains try the UKRS and its addon for ships try new ships and buses/trucks try HOVS

Try setting the Language to "English (Original Vehicle Names)" in the Options window.
I'm afraid the Jinty was removed between TT and TTD to free slots for Maglevs.
I'd also recommend using the Aircraft Aviators Set over the planeset. It utilises newsounds and special sprites for taking off and landing.

Thank you for the help, the Planeset works great, although I can't find any of the future planes in it. One last question. In some screenshots I see the rails curve naturaly instead of the 45o angle, I tried searching the forums for curved rails but I get 200+ threads, would you happen to know which .grf adds this?
