"game initilisation error" -again

Hi, I just downloaded the TTD for Windows 2k/ Nt version with the windows patch from this website, but after doing everything by the instructions I wasn't able to play due to the "game initilisation error: cannot find the cd".

I'm running

Windows 2000
5.00.2195
Service Pack 2

I checked the forum for help, but I don't know what do you mean by entering the game's location into the tddpatchw.cfg file. Or .exe whatsoever.

Also, as I downloaded the game and used the setup, it "double installed" as I would say, as now I'm having nearby the same files in both C:\Games\TTD and
C:\Games\TTD\Transport Tycoon Deluxe Windows

Through the second one has the patch folder and the RirectX folder.
The game doesn't start no matter from which one I try.

Also I had problems earlier with "Error Reading Registry" which I fixed but the RUN:regedt32
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\FISH Technology Group\Transport Tycoon Deluxe\HDPath fixed to the C:/Games/TDD

Did you installed it or just copied ??
Do you put 'win2k on' into ttdpatchw.cfg ??
but I'm nearly sure that helps you TTDPatch Starter

After its' running search for 'Create Registry Entry' in Settings Menu
and to play TTD in Win 2k/XP you must always run ttdpatchw.exe of course

Great!! Thanks a lot. It seems to be a 95 versino allright.. Is it supposed to be in such a small window, or does it get larger? (I read something about that in the forum, but in case you'd know how to help right now.. =)

there are some problems with win 2k and fullscreen (TTD can be only in this small window or fullscreen) if it don't run in fullscreen (can be change it TPS to) so you must take a look at forum topics about it

Download the latest patch. According to the Patchman ther are no problems with fullscreen for any windows version anymore!:mrgreen:
