Hi There,
Couldn't find this anywhere else so here is my suggestion
Would it be possible to make maps have ID's so that you could play them again

Technically all landscapes already have an ID (which you can see in the debugger window), but there's currently no way to enter it.
However, maps generated from an ID in one version of the patch would likely differ somewhat from other versions, depending on what has changed. Especially if different cargo/industry grf files are active.

Patchman answered your last question in this way. It's not known where in the Games code is there access to landscape ID's.
But you did raise an interesting question. Could we have new landscapes not bound to any Patch version

It could probably be done relatively easily by adding a sign cheat to set the ID for the next randomly generated landscape.
