New types of cargo and vehicles

I was wondering how I can edit existing vehicles so that they can carry new types of cargo. In this case I want to achieve that the NL Maglev pack can carry the cargo of the 21st century mod.
Editing with Frontend is not possible because the cargo is not recognised as standard cargo and with locotool it seamed possible. I used the savegame editor to introduce the new (for example) uranium hopper in the game, but when starting up the savegame it just added a second coal hopper.
What can I do?

Look at the cargo types (Is a number, just look at a 21st century mod vehicle what type of cargo it is.)

Yes, that's what I did. For example, uranium is cargo nr 90, so I created a new .xml file (a copy of the coal hopper) and replaced the number for coal with the number of uranium. I renamed the vehicle. Then I looked it up in de savegame editor, it was there under its new name, and I added the vehicle to the game.
When I load the game then, there is just another coal/iron ore hopper added and no trace of my new uranium hopper.
What am I doing wrong?

did you change the ID of the wagon (second line in the xml)
i did all models/renderings/textures myself. no conversions.

seelenquell.pytalhost.com has been reactivated from 16/07/28 till 18/05/31.. now it´s deactivated. at least there..

Thank you very much. That was the problem.
Any idea why the A380's already took colonists as a cargo of choice (like mail, goods etc.) Where in the .xml can I find the option that you can later on choose the cargo?

Maybe a factory used the same cargo id so it automaticly fits into the aircraft.

in the FLAGS there is an option "refittable".. (if not, add it)

refittable*
If the vehicle is refittable(mostly planes and passenger boats) (Refitting allows only mail, food, goods, and grapes. New capacity is passenger capacity divided by 2.5)
