Thats 'cause before new temperate set there was'nt very much engines before 1960.

I start in 1960 also, but i don't like that the temperate set locos come out 1 a decade, then about 5 in the 90's... Its annoying because you don't have time to build a decent fleet of them, and then get new tech - by the time u build a new line, there are about 4 more avaliable! Although, they are really good looking, and wagon override looks great!

Yes that's true when the ICE 3 comes it only takes about a year and there will be a monorail. So I changed it so the first monorail will be in 2008

BTW, is it possible to use monorail engines on normal rail too?
