Opponent gets more units from same source

Post by angryman »

When i have a station next to a resource, the waiting amount builds up. But when an opponent builds next to the same resource they end up having a waiting list of like 200+ units where I now only have <50. Is there a way to change this or a reason for this happening.

No - I'm pretty sure it's one of the "cheats" that the game gives the AI to help it against the player.

Let's be honest, it needs it.

Other things include:
  • Not paying for landscaping
Getting higher town and station ratings (this links with your niggle about having more resources - higher ratings = more resources)
Getting discounts on track (Surely - think about how much they spend on bridges)
Not sure what else there is, but I'm sure someone could enlighten you further.

Given the same station rating, the AI gets the same amount of cargo as a human player. It does get a bonus for station ratings though, except in the easiest mode.

However, cargo piles up mainly because of poor service: the AI just makes no attempt to transport everything, so cargo piles up. Not because it gets more, but because it transports less. That's all.
