Problems installing graphics

Post by deallus »

I have read every FAQ available and also the graphics error part in the TTDpatch manual, so I'm taking my chances on the forum;

I've just installed TTD with the latest patch (2.5 beta 6), but there are almost no graphics sets I can get to work (with the exception of the tram set and the electrified railway set). I get this really annoying message each time, example:

Code: Select all

File [correct file address] has invalid sprite #$ (code $/$$)
where $ is a specific number.

I'm 99% certain that all the files are in the correct location and with the correct adress in the appropriate files. Help, anyone?

try adding experimentalfeatures.mandatorygrm off to your ttdpatch.cfg

Try downloading those sets anew. You seem to use outdated versions.

In the future, it would be advisable to post the actual numbers involved, and not just dollar signs.
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

Indeed, there's a reason I've put the numbers in, and it's not just to look pretty.
