Post by Bloodelf »

Unless I'm very, very wrong, the devs will need a savegame from when the AI is building that track to debug this.
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

You mean that for a 3 square station (6 normal units), they build 1 loco and 4 trucks?

If so, this is normalbehaviour - i think it happens so that the AI doesn't have to have a secdond 'template' train to build with 1 or 2 headed trains - they build the same train, but having 1 truck less with single headed trains means that there is space for a second train head

Why turn it off? if you don't use it, who cares if it's working or not? So build no multihead trains and accept that you can build them but you have no need to do so. This concerns to 2+ singlehead engines and to the dualhead engines

it used to fill the entre platform length... at least I think so. The question is what happened and when? I don't consider it an urgent issue though. The whole AI thing acts weird and needs to be completely rewritten anyway.

hmm I am having a weird problem with the AI's trains, not the same one but I figured it's better to post it here than in a new topic. I suddenly got a load of messages that lots of trains had just arrived at their stations for the first time and when I clicked on one I saw this (screenshot)

obviously this is right at the beginning of a game.
