Warning waypoint

Post by MJS »

I guess all of us from time to time are forced to construct a few emergency loops and connections that allow trains about to get lost to find their proper way back. (Yes, I use waypoints and Service at..., but still...)

Now would there be a way to construct a special waypoint in such a way that it warns me when a train passes it? That way, I'd be able to work on the schedule for that specific train, instead of having to wait around to see who's actually using my emergency loop.

I attach a picture with such an emergency loop, recently built (with the brown dirt around it), used for trains that desperately want to leave Bergerac to the SE but find themselves at the N exit.

MJs,
i know what you are talking about ...
maybe this helps... :!:
in your ttdpatch.cfg you'll find the following lines:

>>>> // `losttrains' (no command line switch) gives a warning about lost trains after the given number of days. Range 5..1000. Default 150.
losttrains 60

You can adjust the number of days... and get informed via message.

Its good point/idea, my idea is... (hope its good) If train go through waypoint what isnt in train orders then "Game" gives news that train is lost or stops instantly.
Hope You all understand me?!

I know You all may not use all waypoints on trains route, but then you should and trains have smaller possibility to get lost ;) and if nevertheless train is lost You can get a news or train is stoped and window pops up

Thanks, Jaakon. I should have searched a bit before coming up with the question...
