This was said by Chantz, the Infogrames guy that was largely in charge of the MoOIII beta progress.The why and wherefors are not what you think; it has nothing to do with copy protection (we've been testing with that since we started Beta) or anything like that. It has everything to do with *when will the retailers take it in stock*. Remember, they buy a lot of inventory and they need a place to put it and then distribute it out to the chains. If you've played Transport Tycoon, you'll know what i'm talking about.

Heh, I mighta gotten a lil grabby(read: grabbing at straws) that Chris Sawyer might actually have sent something to Infogrames for review, seeing as how Infogrames owns Hasbro, which in turn owns Microprose, the original publishers of TTO and TTD.
But as far as I know he could have made an analogy to a game he'd never played. Heh.
