New statistics?

Post by MJS »

When your network is expanding, it can get really hard to keep track of the number of trains running in between the different towns. I'd love to see more statistics to enable better management of the capacities of different connections.

I've drafted the table below. Now I know this table is far from perfect (e.g. the navigation part on the left-hand side is probably too difficult like this), but at least it might serve as a good basis for your comments.

Is this feasible at all? Is there other people who'd like to have this in? Is this the right amount of data? What other things might be in this overview?

Personally, I just keep an eye on the station window - if there are a lot of passengers waiting at a station, I go and see if the service can be improved.

But don't you want some sort of a realistic spread of connections? I mean, then you could just build lines that just connect one station to only one other station, preferably all across the map in a straight line.

I know there's suggestions around for passengers wanting to go to specific cities or regions, but as long as that's not implemented, I still like to try and make a realistic network.
