Changing unified maglev afterwards

I've been a TTD fan for a long time, and I've been using the TTDPatch for a long time, it's a great addition to the game and makes the game so much more interesting.

Recently, I started playing again, this time using TTDPatch Alpha 69a. I configured the ttdconfig.cfg to my liking and started a game (the Megarail scenario). Everything was well until around 2021 - all my trains were Monorail and I was waiting till Maglev became available, but unfortunately, I made an error in the ttdpatch.cfg - the unifiedmaglev option was set to "1" instead of "3", causing my maglev loco's to become available on monorail... I didn't want it this way, I want separate maglev. I changed the value, but nothing changed in the savegame, I jumped back 2 years in time using the Year signcheat (and did a resetvehicles cht), but still no maglev tracks... The only way for me to get maglev tracks is by buying monorail and converting them to maglev using the tracks signcheat...

Is there anyway to change the setting in the savegame, so that I will be able to build maglev tracks? Or does it only work on new games?

I'm not sure what you can do. You probably have to jump back to a year before a maglev loco becomes available, and then wait for it to be offered. This should enable the track for it too.

Tried that already, didn't work unfortunately

Ow well, maybe I'll just finish this game off quickly and start over.

Great, that seemed to have worked! Went back to 1995, changed all tracks to normal rails, did a resetvehicles, then went back to 2024 and now I can build maglev! Thanks!
