I've downloaded the saved game. Please don't take this the wrong way... but this is one HUGE mess. You have too many trains trying to take only a couple of tracks to many different destinations. You need to think about creating more tracks (you also should think about putting a LOT more signals on the tracks :wink: ) .
The biggest problem you have is at Gruntown Lakeside. What is happening, is that because you have limited space (and tracks), the trains that go from Dardingstone To Gruntown Lakeside, have no tracks to go back east. Now because you have a track available that goes west (to Dutburg Springs South), it will go that way because of the way you have created your station.
I should be able to fix this, but I need to know if you are using TTDPatch or not?

Ok. I made some changes to the station at Gruntown Lakeside (and some of the tracks that lead to it). You should have no problem in that area (have a look it closely, it might give you an idea on how to create useful stations). By the way, DON'T remove the bus station that is near the train station as you will shorten the 'catchment' area.
A couple of tips;
1) Use more signals along tracks. The more spaced out the signals are, the more likely that trains are going to be waiting at Red signals.
2) If you're going to use 2-way tracks, try to keep the directions the same e.g.

Like this (less confusing);
------->>
<<-------

------->>
<<-------

Not this (you're more likely to place signals in the wrong direction);
------->>
<<-------

<<-------
------->>

:wink:

By the way, I made the changes without using TTDPatch.

Make sure the trains are travelling along the same side all the time, ie. Trains always take the right rail - no matter what direction they are going in, otherwise you can stuff up the interesctions.

Ohhh... you've already fixed it... I've just wasted one night of my life :mrgreen: Oh well I'll post it anyway. See how different it is from yours stationx :P But I have to agree with you TwentyJar, keep the train directions fixed... don't swap from driving on the left to right and back again.

I'll have to try that, an all passenger (wand mail) network. Although youve got a small oil service and a bank run :P

I find the easiest way to do that is to just treat it like it's a road - i wouldn't want to drive around and not know what side of the road i should be on depending on what road it was! And i guess it is like a road seeing as the drivers choose tracks (not signalmen - this is why we get the problems in 1st place ;)) to run on.
