Landscape bug?
Hi,
i'm running build R3244 and tried R3251 as well, but i can't play other landscapes then the default.
If i load them, they are correctly displayed, only i can't build anything.
On everything i try to build it gives the error: Can't build <object> here, for example: Can't build station here, Can't build track here, etc etc
This is for all the landscapes except default: snow, candy, desert.
I have all the data files, and it displays fine but i just can't place anything on it:(:(

Try starting with a clean config file.
In a command prompt (from windows start->run->"cmd" <enter>") browse to your openttd directory and type:
And see if you still get the problems. If you don't then it's just a matter of comparing the clean config with your current (openttd.cfg) one and pinpoint the difference. Very interested to hear about it.
In a command prompt (from windows start->run->"cmd" <enter>") browse to your openttd directory and type:
Code: Select all
openttd.exe -c clean_config.cfg

diff is your friend.
If you're on Windows and haven't installed cygwin, try fc instead.

To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

Just download two files from Willie's post http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?p=376603#376603 and have fun playing
Just post all the differences here with a little work on your side. Something like:miezel wrote:i understand, i use UltraEdit. Only what am i looking for, not for the max amount for trains i guess?!
