Connecting Online...

Post by Fatality »

I usually make the server and my friends join it and we play, but like 2 days ago they only see server, but when they want to start a new company the game displays a message that says "could not connect to target machine". I have no idea whats wrong, beacouse like 2 days ago we played the game and everything was fine. Help please...

What did you change?

There are about fifty different reasons, any one of which could cause problems.
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.
Projects: NFORenum (download) | PlaneSet (Website) | grfcodec (download) | grfdebug.log parser

Sounds like a router problem... did you try to create games yourself and had problems with others connecting to you in the past? Er...

Never mind... just answered my own question. Still, I would try to confirm that the computer you are hosting the game on, has the correct ports forwarded (can be done using NAT, on your router). The TCP port would be 3979 and. As well as UDP ports 2210, 2211 and 3979. (2211 is used when internet advertising is enabled)

(Could be wrong, dug this up from netstat)
Siggy not gonna work unless someone allows javascripting...
