Hello all,
when I a multiplayer game start, the program says always: "transfer data to other player." and by him: "receiving data from other player". This is taking a very long time, about 10 minutes, after that the game works 5 seconds and then, the window appear again!!?? Does someone know why?

is it LAN, or over the net..
If its LAN, what connection and cpu/ram do the two computers have.
If its over the net, what connection speed do you have, both upload and download. And the cpu/ram.

It is over the internet.
my connection is 800 kpbs.
my CPU is P4 1.6 Ghz
my memory is 256 MB RAM..
i know, not the best computer ever, but it should be working...
the PC of my friend is much better.
... you say 'both upload and download'... where can I see this?

RAM isnt a issue, i play Locomotion even on a 500mhz with 128MB ram.
I dont know what ports Locomotion use but maybe you need to open them in your router. (Some programs fail if thats isnt the case)

I asked that at a other forum to that guy and he said that they already copied his obj data folder to the other computer, so that aint is the problem.

If you both have 56k modems... just give up... dsl should be fine... if dsl can handle World Of Warcraft without lag, then Locomotion should be no problems.
However depending on how often you guys sleep over each others place (LAN parties) you may as well just LAN it.

There's a distinct difference between WoW and Loco.
Where WoW's network code is excellent (seeing as it's an MMORPG), Locomotion's network code is, well, crap.

Are you shure your ports are open? or are you downloading during online gaming? Downloading could disrupt the connection for online gaming.
