Hello,
I've got the same problem - I load up the game and there's a sprite error with one of the new GRF files, and I can't build any vehicles. I've updated the graphic files to the most recent version, and am using TTDPatch 2.0.1 rev 50 and the Configurator. Any ideas?
EDIT: I deleted all the modified GRFs, downloaded new copies of just 4 (temperate, signals, foundations and euroads) and now there are no sprite errors - but there are still no vehicles!

Have you activated them in the grf-status window ? (under the wrech icon)
The flag in front of the newgraphics set has to be green, or blue to be active.
If it's red click on it and it will turn green, then click apply.
You also have to have "newtrains on" in your ttdpatch.cfg file.
Also reading the manual might help.
